Blue Whale is a suicide game made by Philipp Budeikin 1, a psychology student from Russia, which asks its players to commit suicide after 50 days of play. Budeikin jailed by the Russian police says had the made this game to clean up the society by pushing to suicide those he deemed as having no value.2  This Game mainly focuses on teens and youth. Children of the age 13- 15 are badly affected by this game and many are girls.

What is Blue Whale Game?

This Game is a set of challenges which you have to do over a course of 50 days. this includes watching Horror Movies at the odd time, includes waking up at 4:20 A.M., climbing a crane, carving a specific phrase on the person’s own hand or arm, doing secret tasks, poking a needle in the arm or leg, standing on a bridge and roof, listening to music, and watching videos sent to the challenges by the administrator.  And at last the suicide.

Death Reports.

There have been about 530+ deaths reported across the globe and at least a million had downloaded the game From various sources. Russia has the most number of victims followed by the UK and many other European countries.

India too had reported the presence of this game. Manpreet Sahans, A 14-year-old boy in Mumbai committed suicide by jumping off his terrace after playing the Blue Whale game.

What to do next?

The Kerala police had issued an alert notice against this game as more than 2000 had downloaded this game. There is an unspecified report the two children from Palakkad had started playing this game
